Hello All,
I'm a new member to the AudiV8 site and would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Don and I live in the Denver, Colorado, USA part of the world. I just bought a 1990 V8q for $350...the only caveat is that the car has no current title and I have to do paperwork for the State of Colorado to get a currrent title, so the V8q will be sitting for a while. It's Mother-of-Pearl white with a gray leather interior and has 202k miles on the clock. It needs some maintenance and front bumper work before I can even drive it. The previous owner (prior to the original owner) didn't take real good care of it mechanically. Hopefully if I run into any snags, I can find the answers here!

Hy Don,
welcome to the V8 community. As you need some help about your new toy, you've found the right address! Sometimes a bit patience is required, when you're waiting for an answer - but I guess, you always will get one!

Thanks, Tim for the welcome. I already subscribe to another forum here in the USA which is called Audizine (www.audizine.com). Its a pretty good forum. Also another one is called Audifans (www.audifans.com). It was started in 1991 and originally called 'The quattro list'. You don't have to have a membership to use Audifans, unlike Audizine and Audiworld......

Hi Don,

Here's a belated 'hello' from another American member!

Did you get the title paperwork straightened out, and is the car on the road?

No, unfortunately, I haven't gotten the paperwork straightened out. My wife used to work for the Dept Of Motor Vehicles for the State of Colorado and she convinced me to sell it for what I paid for it and find one that has a title so I did just that. It was sold to someone who's familiar with buying and selling vehicles like this and it'll be a car for his sister (her car just quit running) and she needs a vehicle that will get her around in the snow and weather here in Colorado and since she suffers from kidney problems and needs dialysis every week, hopefully the car will work out for her. I'm still going to be a part of this forum. I wish I had better news for your question.

Don, that is too bad! But yes, there are others with "normal titles" out there.

I like this car so much, if I could afford it I would have already bought another one. I am totally serious. It's the finest sedan I've ever driven.

There's a '93 on AutoTrader right now. The sales page title is this: Used 1993 Audi V8 Quattro quattro Sedan AWD. Cost = $2,495. I tried to paste in the link but it is HUGE.

Thanks for trying to do that but right now I'm getting ready to go back to school after being off for two semesters...I blew my college algebra class and wasn't able to get my academic dismissal appeal paperwork in by the due date so I was dropped in November. By the time the committee that reviewed my appeal approved it, a week of class had already gone by so I'm having to wait until the 28th of February to begin classes. Maybe as time goes on, I'll find another V8. But these next two semesters are going to be really hard and I don't want to divert my attention to something else and blow it again! Are you aware of the V8 list at Audifans.com? Anyone that has a V8 in the US is most likely a lister on that email list and they all know a lot!

Thanks, Don, I will check out AudiFans also!

Good luck with your academic endeavors! Dealing with a bureaucracy is always ... interesting!
