Just done a scan on my 1990 3.6 pt
And came up with 2 codes
00515 G60
And
00513 G28
But car is running fine
Always starts first time, drives good and very good mpg
Is this anything to worry about?
Hi Terry,
it's off topic, sorry, but maybe you own the car displayed at the Birmingham Motor Show 1990!? There haven't been sold that many to the UK and year of manufacture and color would fit!
Regards
Bastian
Oh, regarding the codes: Have you started the engine and read out the fault codes when the engine was running? Both the engine speed sensor and the TDC sensor are listed in the fault codes when the engine was not started, as the ECU doesn't know if they are working at that point :-)
If G60 and G28 are those two, and I'm pretty sure they are (damned long-term memory...), there is nothing to worry about!
Have this photo ,it could be
But I do know of 2 other UK cars in this colour
One is a 4.2 which is now for sale
https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/listing/audi/v8/v8-4-2/1993/169559I do have a list of about 60 UK registered cars
Hi Terry
wow, tell me more about that 60 cars :-) Friends of mine have imported three RHDs (you find them in the Car-DB) in the last 15 years and I have observed the market for several years. I'm only aware of one Classic Line and one having Wollcord interior - do you know more?
The photo from the Birmingham Show is also the one I know, I've found it on Flickr many years ago. It's definetely a 3,6, the 4,2 wasn't sold before fall 91 on the European mainland and I'd say there is no RHD 4,2 before 1992.
The more you can tell about the Audi V8 in UK, the more welcome :-)
Bastian
PS.: The one from the ad is in a stunning condition! Good to see that prices are rising in the UK as well!
