Hi, the book is called "Audi V8: Neuer Stil in der Oberklasse".

You can find it via Amazon .. but it's only in German
But it contains nearly all important information and background of the Audi V8 ... written by a member of this Forum here.

The 6 speed gearbox was developed by Audi for the V8, but also for the Audi 100 S4 4,2. It was new.
I'm not sure, whether this gearbox has been used in DTM versions ...at least i have some doubt.

the source of this number of units is some book or maybe an internal source, but even though I've adopted it, I personally doubt it. Maybe there have been so many manual shifted 4,2 ABH including the S4. Unfortunately there exists no really official number... as least I was unable to research it.
