hi. i cant understant where is the problem. when i put it in D and start drivind it feels unpleasant kick when gearbox shifts from 1st gear to second. i recently had gearbox repaired because all gears were gone. now its ok everything is new and changed in it but kicks remain. made a diagnostic on it, there are no errors. shifting to other gears are ok and just like cant feel them. oil level ok. where could be the problem? Maybe the problem is in rear differential? thank you for suggestions and answers.

Maybe the cardan shaft has kicked? Are you sure that the oil level ATF is correct? ATF-Temparature must have 80°C! And the level not to the maximum! It must be in the mittle between max and min.
Was the gear oil sieve also renewed with the last repair? Greeting Manfred M.

My V8 has the 4.2 ltr with AZG Automatic gearbox. The car had 54,000 miles.

When I start the car, I cannot move the gear shift out of P. After I increase the revs, I can then select a gear.

What could be my problem?

Even if no ATF is in the gearbox, you can shift...

It's sounds like your shift-lock don't release.

Do you hear a knocking sound when you push the brake pedal?

Weird is, that you have to increase the revs. Maybe your voltage-level is to deep? Do you turn on the headlights?

I found the problem - a bad contact in the brake light switch.

By reving the engine, I was taking my foot off the brake and reapplying my foot to the brake and this was activating the switch properly, lol.

Points of brake light switch cleaned and all is now working perfectly.

Only first to second shifting or other gears too?

The problem was when shifting into gear from Parked possition.

I found the problem was the brake light stitch which I removed and cleaned the contacts on.

All works fine again now.
