hello,

i am trying to find a replacement for the adjuster bolt on the steering track arm on my 1991 V8 (see pic of diagram). a few manufacturers (FAG, Febi Bilstein, etc.) make a similar part (FAG 840 1202 10) but its not as long as the one thats used in the V8 (theirs appears to be around 90mm whereas the one in the V8 measures in at 116mm).

there is a logo stamped on the audi V8 adjuster bolt (see pic). i don't recognize it, but my guess is that its that of an audi supplier. if anyone recognizes it, please let me know, and i will try to google search for the manufacturer and see if i can maybe find a part number somewhere.

otherwise, if anyone knows of a replacement part for this item, please let me know. thanks in advance.

vince

Hallo.
Da gab es hier im Forum vor vielen Jahren schon einmal das Thema zu den Spurstangen. War, so glaube ich mich erinnern zu können, ein ähnliches Bauteil von Opel als Ersatz gefunden worden.
Suchfunktion schon einmal benutzt?
Gruß.
Hallo.

-Opel 322575
-Lemförder 1464201

Unterschiedliche Gewindegängeanzahl: Lemförder ca. 24 Gewindegänge , original von Audi ca. 34 Gewindegänge.

Gruß Manfred M.
thanks manfred. andreas posted something similar on audiworld.com: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-original-s-cars-25/c4-s6-4-2-v8-parts-issue-2941043/

i am still curious as to who's mark is on the original bolt from my car. thanks again.

Ein sehr ungewohntes Branding, sehr ungewöhnlich zu sehen.

I don't know about this stamp. But why not machining a completely new one in matching size? I would take a 17 mm hexagon and have it turned to fit. One side normal thread M16 x 1.5 on the other side left-hand thread M16 x 1.5.
