Not a surprise you broke your gearbox on your 900…. I have a 1989 900T16 convertible, I modify my APC, 9000 injectors, 3.3 bar fuel regulator: no more than 225 HP.
The Gearbox is THE nightmare for the Saabist.
I suppose if you blew your car you had the stock intercooler…. It is a mistake because the stock intercooler is really a beautiful joke on the 900T16.You’d better install a 9000 IC
I dont want too much power at high rpm for my V8, i only want the Mercedes V12 torque at 1500 RPM...
My project for my V8 is to put the CBL or the CGR gearbox I have in my cellar but I would be curious to know exactly how much torque the stock automatik ZF gearbox can stand…
I will lower the compression ratio with a sandwich , to 9.2/1andl install a specific and huge efficient intercooler IN THE FRONT of the car

I will control boost with a N75 or a APC or similar system , in order to lower the boost at high RPM
My money is 3500 euros for that projekt and i think i will succeed.
