Bonjour Fred,

Audi did not include the G62 coolant temperature switch until much later. My V8 is a June 1990 and does not have this switch. According to the repair manual, the Klima system will 'guess' what the value should be, based on other readings if the G62 is not present.

I think your issue might be a problem with the engine cooling system, not with the Kilma however. If this is true, try the troubleshooting steps here:
