hello

I've succeded in starting my engine. the gearbox working.
but now I have another pblm: the car do not start when the engine is hot. I think it's a sensor, but I do not know where it is

help please



waht are the I and II?
and miss a tube between the green arrow, it was totally dead!

The automobile does not drive or it is not started?
If not it is automaticgearbox is faulty,
If not will start the engine, diagnostics is necessary.
1 - a regulator of pressure of fuel
2- mass air flow sensor
Green arrows- it should be connected by a rubber tube,
It is system of crankcase ventilation

the car start very well when the engine is cold. and the car could be driven for hours, but if stop, it do not start
i'm sure it's due to something that give wrong information of temperature , but what? and where????

i've order the part between the green arrows, because ther is oil on the engine now

This is a classic Audi V8 problem.

The crankshaft position sensor and/or the engine speed sensor is faulty.
They are located on the rear of the engine block by the flywheel beneath the left exhaust manifold.

They are permanent magnets and over time they deteriorate because of the heat from the exhaust manifold.

To test them you measure the resistance.The connectors have 3 terminals. Between no 1 and 2 resistance should be approximately 1000 Ohms. Between 1 and 3 infinite and between 2 and 3 infinite.

The crankshaft position sensor is the one causing the difficulty to start a warm engine but propably the other one is also gone.

The cost is - in Sweden - 200 € each.
