Jeremy, thanks for the info. I took it to another Audi mechanic who has 2 of his own and it was a effort for him, also. He replaced the flywheel-which had 2 broken teeth and it was better but not fixed! Then he reread all of the sensors and I guess the cam sensor only reads one of the two cams. He had the ability to measure the second cam and it had jumped a tooth or so on the timing belt-yikes. Someone had been in it previously and didn't tension the belt properly and it was on its way to interference. They are not done yet but I feel it will be fixed. I wanted you and others to know what could cause this so I hope it helps. Gregg C
