Hi everyone
I have to remove the instrument cluster from my V8 as it is faulty and to do it I have to remove the upper dashboard.
I followed the instructions found on Internet to remove the upper dashboard:

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-5000-200-v8-discussion-27/v8-dash-2185545/#post19022386

I took out all the screws but the dashboard is not coming out if I pull it up: it is barely moving. Am I missing something?
My car is a 1991 manual V8 without airbags.

Thank you!

You can also find these instructions in the FAQ section

I followed also those instructions and removed everything. Still no success...
Is it a matter of brute force now?:)

Hello.

Do you first need to push the top of the dashboard slightly forward (in the direction of travel) and then pull it upwards and backwards towards the interior?

Greetings.

I mainly tried to pull it up.
Will try better to push it forward and then lift…hope it works (i can do it only in a couple of weeks…)

I am afraid that it is deformed due to age/heat…hope not.

Thank you!
