Trying to figure out why it wont start, 91 V8 5 speed, 4.2l ABH, PT wiring harness
It turns over. Timing is correct, vibration damper, cams, and distributors in correct place.
There is spark, took one of the plugs out, and it sparks agains the engine.
The problems:
1. No fuel. If I bridge the two terminals of the fuel relay with a wire, then the pump turns on. If the fuel relay is in, when cranking the fuel pump does not turn on.
I checked the voltage between terminals 46/50 and 48/50, 12V.
2. The reverse lights turn on when I turn the key to the on position.
I replaced the inanition switch, once the reverse lights did not come on, but after that they come on each time. Why is this?
3. Having trouble connecting my Vagcom cable. I have a ross-tech cable, and the 2x2 connector.
No matter what I do, I get no signal from controller, I tried the device on my VW, and the cable is working as it should.
In the passenger foot well, there are 4 2-prong plugs, black black white and white.
I connect the black part of my cable to the #1.
If i connect the white one to:
#3, ignition off K1 and K2 ok, ignition in ON K1 ok K2 Idnition short to ground.
#4, ignition off K1 and K2 ok, ignition in ON K1 short to gourd, K2 ok.
Just had the battery tested, 900+ cranking amps.
