1991 3.6 V8.
Displays the warning symbol for Hydraulics, since fixing the dodgy connect to the switch that is tucked away between the brake cylinder and the top of the steering rack.

Presumably, hydraulics are monitored in several places?
Would this be the only system Pressure monitor?

Hi,

the one nearby the brake power assist is the only pressure sensor. Unfortunately it tends to fail, I had this one broken on mine as well. Changing the sensor is worth a try. A good reason by the way why the wires had been cut.

Or, the pressure level is indeed too low due to an empty (broken) break pressure reservoir. But in that case the warning should come not immediately after you swtich on the ignition but after a few seconds or after braking.

The two other sensors are the break fluid and the hydraulic fluid level sensors.

I thought as much.
The wires are corroded, making intermittent contact. I think the wiring may need more attention. The bomb feels lazy, and the warning does indeed come on after a number of seconds after starting. Occasionally, the warning extinguishes, but i expect this to not last long.

My two cents: change the main pressure accumulator (bomb)!
Low nitrogen pressure causes the flashing warning. After a few seconds idling, the pump has refreshed system pressure and the warning extinguishes. As you engage the brake pedal for a few times, the warning should flash again.
