This problem with the shaking in the steering wheel is hard to answer as the problem may not lay directly with the front brakes but elsewhere. Are your wheels properly balanced? Do you have any problems with the steering geometry are the tie/push rods serviceable and is the suspension all in order? Worn suspension bushes contribute to steering wheel judder at high speed breaking, but also the V8 brakes are known to slightly judder at high speed braking... Also if the back brakes are not working properly then the front brakes will be overloaded. There is a regulator on the rear axel that tends to seize this contributes to front brake overloading. Best take the car to a specialist where the suspension can be properly checked out.
