Hello i have been having some problems with a radiator that is blocked. i changed it and the thermostat at the same time. is there a spesial way to bleed out all the air ? because i cant get all the air out . when i drive, it wont fill the top of the engine and it overheats. when i stop the car i hear and feel bubling in the hoses. And i only have the rapairmanual in german, and i cant read a damn thing of german :P. Sombody with an idea ?.

My first engine died while investigation an overheating issue, which was terminal in the end.

Yea i know its dumb :P. Its an easy job i have done menny times before on other cars. but this car is stubbern. i coulden gett all the air out even without a thermostat. The heater is always on full now when its -15c :P. There is no water in oil or eksaust, and noe oil or eksaust in the whater so dont think the head gasket is gone.. sry for bad spelling.

If the Thermostate is right... you should have NEVER Problems with to bleed the coolantsystem... heater "HIGH" and wait until the wathertemperatur is at 90-95°C on the heatindicator, then you should hold the enginespeed at 4000-5000rpm...

or you drive a round like normaly (2-3000rpm) and when it is on operating temperatur - give it to him

Maybe a malfunction of the water-pump also ?
By the way .. can you see water-flow in the radiator during the enginge is running ?
Is the heater on Hi-Level ?

Are you really sure, that the thermostat is fitted seriously? Because there is a little bleeding valve on it, that has to be directed upward.
Heater on max but blower off (I guess you know).

So then Refill to full,
when the engine is cold the level should be between full and low.

If you go to a shop they can measure if there is any exhaust gases in the coolant. (this will indicate blown headgasket)
