Would you believe my pc was formatted and my emails were not saved! I have since been back to the Audi dealer in Algeciras (southern Spain) and just told them to go ahead with the replacement.... Bloody expensive, but having looked on the net for prices of shocks and springs, the price seems to go close to 900 Euro (Koni/Bilstein), so labour 400 Euro, hmm, well fair enough I suppose. At least it is the original thing if that was ever any better.
