You can use either a OX103B or a OX103. When I ordered a new Lambda for my V8, I ordered a OX103 B. This part is originally Bosch. But instead of the OX103 B I got a OX103. It is the same part, produced by another manufacturer, but it works fine ;-))
Hi Kenn Hey, I'm from Denmark too, but live in Gibraltar. Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the car? Wonder what sort of insurance you would have to pay......:-( How much does that Lambda thing cost, and could you replace it yourself quite easily or?
I'm having my 89 3.6 at the Audi dealers in Spain at the moment and would like things fixed properly, but of course, little things that can be replaced with ease, there is no reason having an expensive workshop perform.
Had a problem just before I took it in. Drove through a biiiig puddle of water. The car carried on driving for another couple of k's then started going on 6 cyl's then 4 and then died. Couldn't start it again, it just fired some "crackers" out the exhaust as if the whole timing was wrong. Had to leave it til the next morning. It then started perfectly, but after about 10 min idling it started sounding a bit wonky.
Most likely just water that got to the distributor, but since the outside rubberbelt is not encapsuled, this would surely be a constant problem driving in rain or snow???
The insurance thing has been giving me headaches until I finally found the right insurance company ( actually the one I was using all along ). The orignial offering ( And I'm on the super elite level ) was 3700 Euros pr. year !!!! Now I'm down to 1500 Euros pr. year and that's actually quite fair.
The Lambda probe can be bought and mailed from Germany ( see previous post ) and costs about 60 Euros including freight. It is quite easy to change by yourself ( The danish VAG dealership want's 220 Euros for the probe and 140 Euros for changing it !! )
I don't know about the water/snow problem - that remains to be seen - as we have had beatiful weather for some time now and I only have had the car for a couple of weeks
