when you are asking about any "special tool", I suppose that the black screw heads (made of plastic) on the top of each screw are gone and you have to release the single small brass screws?
Well, so just take a simple long-nosed pliers, it works. But take a bit care, avoid straight turning them, otherwise situation will become even more complicated....
