well... do you used an Sensor with GroundWire?
Sometimes is the Exhaust not realy good grounded (Flammringe) so you need this GroundWire (brown) for a better function.. normaly you get an Sensor with 3 Wires, one white for Signal, zwo black for Sensorheater, NO Ground
