Hello all of You! I´m Jukka from Finland.
My -92 4,2 V8 needs a little bit of lowering, but I´m not shure what kind of springs are now.
Can somebody tell me, what is the vertical measurement between the middle of wheel hub and edge of bumber-guard on STANDARD SUSPENSION.(front and rear)
And what is Your recommendation of lowering on mm´s, front/ rear?
Is "H&R" good choice of springs?
Pictures of cars will be nice.....
Oh, the wheels are 17" now and tires 235/45.

I`m Mario from middle Germany.
I have a V8 3,6 From 11/88.
It is lowerd approx 50 mm in the front, the rear is standard.
The Springs are from K.A.W.
The mounted wheels are 8 X 17 rims with 235/45 tires.
At the front the space between the wheel and the fender is all around the same.
The lowering of 50 mm allows the the daily use without problems.
I have not made pictures since i lowerd the car.....
Do you have in your car automatic level contol in the rear?

Edit: I mean the measurement between WHEEL HUB and FENDER, sorry the" bumber-guard"... (what is bumber-guard?) Hope You forgive to me my weak English

No, I dont have the level control on my car .
I think the good choice is the KAW:s 55/35 set, lets see....

Hi Jukka,

as always with lowering it is a matter of taste. I have installed 55/35 KAW-Springs and standard shock-absorbers with a sport version stabilizer. For the result (directly after installation see the attachement). Basically I´m very content with the lowering .... but:

Please keep in mind that the rear KAW springs tend to settle deeper than expected after a while. There is a colleague in this Forum who sells especially rolled rear springs from KAW to avoid the problem. You may find him in the german ebay under "funmanV8". He is knowledgeable and very fair and reliable. I´ll buy a new rear set from him to adjust the rear level.

Ostin H&R jouset viime kesana. Ne tiputti autoa n. 45mm edesta ja takaa. Uusin myos iskarit (tavalliset). Alla on alkuperaiset 16" bbs 225/50.

Tilasin jouset kitupiikki.net nimisesta paikasta maksoivat 330euroa

Ihan tyytyvainen olen ollut. Pohja on tosi alhaalla vaikka auto ei hirvean matalalta naytakkaan. siksi isommat vanteet olisi ihan hyvat ja 18":t varmaan antaisi myos kummasti lisaa nakoa.

en saa nyt kuvaa ku oon etela-afrikassa, mutta jos tuosta kuvasta saisi jotai selvaa.

just be carefull, cause the car will be lower what it looks like with -45mm springs.
