Hi! I strongly beleave, that in automatic gearbox (Audi V8 '90 - PT) I have 4 gears... But what I feel is the fifth ... Please explain me this.

But please describe your problem more exactly.

When do you feel the "fifth" gear? What show the transmission lights in the KI?

do you feel this switching operation at a speed of approximately 80km/h? And simultaneously to this, the engine speed is falling about some 100 rotations per minute?
Then, the solution is as easy as tranquilizing: It is the "torque converter transmission", which is activated by the transmission control unit. If this has happened and you continue accelerating, the engine speed should rise almost straight proportional to your real speed, because there is no longer any "slip" inside the gearbox.

Hi everyone, in my car this I feel at 95 km/h. I thought it also 5th gear It would be very nice that technical data about gear box could be in english. But here I can't find anything in english, only this forum.
