The Aut. ECU needs an extra Signal from the Gearbox. With a manual Transmission and Automatic ECU your car will not start!
By the way, i don´t think, that the ECU is your problem, it seems to bee a typical Lambda-Sond damage. Try to disconnect the plug of the Lambda and look, what happens.
