My 3.6 auto will not turn over when I turn the key, nothing. The dash lights work, but the gear selector indicator shows all gears are engaged. Not the all grey, but all black instead. The day before, the car would start, but it was hunting for gears and then staying in 3rd or 4rth - but it wouldn't go back to 1st. Even after the engine was switched off. Any help is appreciated.
if the gear engaged is not the P or N, the engine will not start. it's a protection
if you still have all gear engaged, you can unplug the gear box connector . it's below the steering wheel, behind the "storage space" (sorry forget the word)
Have now taken the V8 to an Audi Centre and they have had it 3 days and cannot start!! They cannot communicate with it. Fault diagnosis is no good, so what now?? Any help??
