IThanks for the reply, it's nice to see so many V8 in your Picture. The V8 is a reare car in Ottawa, I've seen three in 6 months !! Do you see many in Germany ? Joe what type of car do you have? Sea yaa Dave
hello dave, it was an v8 meeting in my region. audi v8 are very rarely too in germany. only 2000-3000 pices is on the road here. my car is an 1992, 4,2l , exclusive with "6-gearbox" ( very-very rarely ). and yours ?
It a 93 V8 4.2L, fully loaded. Comes with a 10 disc cd player, winter package. Motorola Car phone ... hands free. The Transmission is an Automatic with Sport, Economy and Manual switch. The switch is great if you turn it to Sport, the automatic gearbox changes at higher RPM 5000. In Canada and the US there were only I believe one year that they had a Manual gearbox. All 93 cam with an automatic. I bought the car for 3200.00 usd. my insurance in Can is 662 usd/year my Licensee sticker is 48 usd. and petrol / fuel .55 cents usd /L. I used USD because you would be able to convert easier. cheers David
I`ve got a 1989- V8 undergoing "heavy maintenance". I`m claening out all the rust (Not that much) And giving it a new layer of paint. Ive bought a -93 mod spare part car that I`m planning to use the engine/trannie and interior from.
In Canada we didn't get the V8's till 1990, I'm sure there is not too much difference between the model years. You will enjoy the 4.2 engine it's great. My 74 Corvette has a 5.7L engine !! but I still enjoy the Audi power plant. Cheers David
