As I understand the 3,6 V8 engine from 1991 and later have the same "Nikasil-beschichtete Laufbahnen" as the 4,2. Does this mean that a late made 3,6 consumes a lot of oil too?

Not necessarily.
There are cars out there that don`t consume any at all, and others (like mine) needing 1 liter or more every 1000 km. This has to be evaluated individually.
Oil consumption largely depends on what kind of fuel was used in the past (this should not be an issue any more as there are more stringent regulations dealing with max. sulphur level in fuel) and owner driving habits (full power just after cold start, sustained high rpm "autobahn" mileage). In general, oil consumption tends to go up with mileage.
