I have a 1990 Audi V8 and I have that problem when you hit the brakes the steering wheel shakes. Could somebody tell me, point me in the right direction for upgrading my rotors calipers and pads
This problem with the shaking in the steering wheel is hard to answer as the problem may not lay directly with the front brakes but elsewhere. Are your wheels properly balanced? Do you have any problems with the steering geometry are the tie/push rods serviceable and is the suspension all in order? Worn suspension bushes contribute to steering wheel judder at high speed breaking, but also the V8 brakes are known to slightly judder at high speed braking... Also if the back brakes are not working properly then the front brakes will be overloaded. There is a regulator on the rear axel that tends to seize this contributes to front brake overloading. Best take the car to a specialist where the suspension can be properly checked out.
Hi Jimmy, in case your brakes are less than 6 month old and the vibration is strong then go back and complain. A little vibration can be normal and if the brakes are old the replace. Nothing is perfect Michael
You can easily upgrade to Audi S8 Brackes there is a report on the german part of this forum They shall be great and cheaper than original V8 parts I'll begin conversion next month
