I am looking at repairing 2 of these. My guess is that i will somehow have to cut through the adhesive holding the entire assembly onto the roof.

Any tip before I plough on?

I am having some difficulty obtaining a fabric that I am happy with, but have narrowed down my options to a small selection. However, I still have a few issues with colour matching to grab handles, and overall feel of the materials.

Has anybody on the continent done this job, and is able to provide details of good materials to use. Supplier name, material name/code, etc would be very useful.

My car's headlining appears to be a beige-grey colour.

Well, I did it. Pictures in a while, but I managed to cover a headlining.

I used AS-Trim, in Ipswich, for the material, which was called Oatmeal, textured. Foam backed. They also had an unbacked material, same name, but it was slightly different in colour and texture, so I used more of the backed material to also do the sunroof panel.

Visors I simply cleaned up, and they don't look too mismatched at all. So, pleased with the initial result. Although bonding the board back on to the roof was rather less easy.

I'm fairly satisfied, albeit, there's a few minor blemishes. The biggest problem was getting the board to stay up. The glue supplied was not really good enough. But at least I can see rearwards.







Colour match is fine, but my technique needs some work. Two more to do, so that should hone my skills.
