I can't quite figure out which way the throttle cable goes onto the linkage, that connects it to the throttle body at the front of the engine.
There is a shaft coming out the intake in the back, to this the throttle cable and cruise control rod attach to.

My confusion is how to get the throttle cable on. yes, I know the rod goes thru the round black hole, however, what position should that part be in, and how is it secured?
