I want to convert my v8 1989 with this kit on ebay. It's compatible?

I don't have experience on sequential and would be my first installation.

Hi William,

you are from UK? Where do you live? I'm aware of an LPG conversion made near Eastbourne in the south, if you are nearby, maybe its an option. Its running very good.

If the converison kit fits will hardly anybody be able to tell as it is not common in middle Europe.

I'm Italian and in Italy lpg conversion are very common but it is very expensive on an 8-cylinder.

a warm welcome to our first member from Italy!

Well, an Italian brand we've good experiences with is "Zavoli" as well as "Landi Renzo" (at least I guess they're Italien). The former is also installed in the V8 I mentioned.

The larger the engine, the more petrol must be injected, the larger the capacity of your vaporators has to be. Most people drive two of them, making the setup a bit more expensive, but making it capacitive of driving on full speed for a longer time as well. As you know, when driving on LPG the temperatures rise and when you don't have enough gas for cooling, it may harm your valves.

Hence, I'd rather stick on a more expensive setup and a good installation from somebody who knows what he does. A good calibration is also as must.

I agree with what you say.

I had a Mercedes 560 with 8-cylinder and 6-cylinder 300 both lpg converted. My mercedes 560 with lpg was no good and the 300 istallation work had been done wrong.

I'm mechanical and my v8 has 600,000km with engine completely rebuilt.

The v8 for me after Mercedes was a surprise. Roadholding with Quattro traction and automatic gear box is better. I also have a W140 s600 but the gearbox audi is very better.

In Italy we have, Landi, Zavoli, Romano, and Icom with liquid injected system but in my experience the problem is the installers

Well, the ICOM is pretty famous as well in Germany. As Tim said, it's all about the setup and the calibration, not so much about the hardware.

For the calibration you maybe could make a small journey to a german tuner.
For the ICOM I know a tuner who is able to set this LPG very well on the dyno.
Take care that you don't get any installer which only checks the Lambdaratio at idle etc.
