What would need to be done to convert a car running an original PT dual coil/distributor ignition to coil on plug?

Is it possible to change only the components in the engine bay? Or is it a much deeper conversion, with a full loom swap, and if so, is there any documentation available?

The vehicle I have is a 1991 V8, 3.6PT
I would like to upgrade it to something a little more potent. I have a full engine loom for a 4.2, including ECU, etc. But it could go much further, and run ABZ/AHC.

This is also the car that I want to run a manual gearbox in. So running the 4.2 ECU may be an issue regarding gearbox TCU interface?

Any feedback gratefully received.

Couple of people, who has done that modification, cars runs fine, but still experiencing some technical problems: unstable control scheme, which significantly shortens the coil life, and some other issues. So I think it's really isn't worth of it.
