Finally I desided to change the Audi's original c-casetteplayer to little modernlike dvd-player, and what happend, I connected the new player like is should expect the power from the ign key which I took from blue wire where I found enough over 10 Volts to turn the radio on and.. all seemd to b fine as far as I decided to take a little ride and turned the driving lights on.. then BAM and all dashpanel lights blackouted no smell no nothing more than just a snap.. all meters works fine and even the boardcomputer display is fine.
All dash panel bulbs are ok as I measured and the dimmer for those is ok.. Can anyone help me out??
Fault that founded with diagnostic said
00532 - Supply Voltage B+
07-10 - Signal too Low - Intermittent
but after clearing faults it didn't came back.
I measured the fuses and all were ok, is there more fuses somewhere than at the side of dash at drivers side?
And all other lights seems to be just fine, except the long range lights but those didn't work even before this.

Hi,

in my case the drop-arm switch was broken (electrically). The headlamps still worked well, but the dash lights were gone. Obviously it's swtiched separately. I replaced the arm and everything was fine again.

Worth a try?

Hi,

damn free translation engines: The switch/arm on the left you use to switch on and off the lights. Just next to your steering wheel

That was my first tought which one you ment but wasn't so sure about it. Thanks for advice, I'll give it a try at weekend. Its kind of hard to drive without dashpanel, I removed it and measured the lights and the dimmer last weekend

Okay, problem solved.
There goes a wire to stereo plug after dashpanel dimmer so you can dim the lights also from stereo if it supports the feature, it went direct to the ground and taked about 10 amps current. It didn't break the 10A fuse which were protecting the wires( Afterwards I replaced it with 5A fuse which is the original size ). =)

Greets from Finland
