im gonna change front brakes from Audi A6 1996y! It was much cheaper to bought front system than to buy 2 UFO disks which costs here in Riga in Auto Riga 380Ls, approximately 542 euro! As we can c here many of AudiV8 owners has been changed their brakes to "normal" brakes!
Thanks, changing to an earlier model Audi is a good idea. What size diagmeter are the A6 disks (320mm)? I'll begin looking for a wrecked A6/8 here in the US.
I have not sized the disks, but as I remember it is approximately the as the UFO, but the brake disk is thiner! U will have to buy bigger brake pads! My friend has changed the UFO for Audi200 20V from Audi A6! The size of axle-shaft is different u have to take off the top of it and put the the front of axle-shaft to the old axle-shaft! It looks like it has different diameter of bearing! Some technical men are saying its impossible or very techically hard work!
Do you know anyone who has converts the brakes to HP2? Was wanting to do this but without modifing the struts. Any help would be mot appreciated as my brakes keep warping and fading.
