Suddenly my automatic gearbox broke! Probably its not yhe yechnical problem or mey be electric! The panel shows that the all gears aro switched on! I took off batteries it dosnt work! I do nat have 1,2 gear! It is through 1 then im pull to D! My gearbox works through M! When im trying to start in D my car doent move! 3 gear shows up when engine gets apprx 3000rpm. may be its broken just gear selector which is situated on the transmission. Who can help me???

Hello Gatis,

This behavior is called 'limp home" mode. There is a problem reported by the Transmission Control Unit and it forced your car into third gear and turns on your PRND321 lights.

yeah! I was at the diagnostic once, but computer did not read anuthing! may be that I have 1989y car! In that web site is diagnostic for 1990 cars and up. I just took out automatic transmission fuse, lights switched off! I put in to D and the lights binking from N to 2! When I put the in 1 there was nothing in panel! One electric man checked out TCU and said there is the ground for contact number 15! I have to find it where is it and then will be ok!
