Is it possible to use an engine ECU from an Audi V8 (automatic transmission) in a Audi 100 S4 with a manual transmission. Actually, the ref. are different between auto and manual transmission. 4A0 997 557 X for audi 100 manual 4A0 997 557 CX for audi 100 automatic
the number begin with 441 (instead of 4A0) for an Audi V8 but I don't think it is important because it is a number for the car model, not for the parts.
Thanks

The Aut. ECU needs an extra Signal from the Gearbox. With a manual Transmission and Automatic ECU your car will not start! By the way, i don´t think, that the ECU is your problem, it seems to bee a typical Lambda-Sond damage. Try to disconnect the plug of the Lambda and look, what happens.

This week, I have planed to disconnect each sensor one by one to see the effect. I will start by the lambda......
Is it normal that with VAG-COM there is nothing in the mesured value block ? (I've got an red message meaning that it is unavalaible (but it works well on a A4 TDI)) I've read the Self Study Program (found on emule) about Motronic, it seems that block 04 and 08 should work !
