I can't quite figure out which way the throttle cable goes onto the linkage, that connects it to the throttle body at the front of the engine.

There is a shaft coming out the intake in the back, to this the throttle cable and cruise control rod attach to.

that was not hard, as it slips on the end of the linkage rod:


My confusion is how to get the throttle cable on. yes, I know the rod goes thru the round black hole, however, what position should that part be in, and how is it secured?

thank you! that helped. One more question, to keep it sliding off the back, there is a small nut holding it on.

what keeps the throttle cable form sliding forward away from the cruise control?
